About me

I have 30 years’ experience in publishing, mainly in marketing. I have skills in copywriting, publicity and PR, event logistics and marketing communications, but I have increasingly found myself drawn to the ‘details’ side of my job. In recent years, I have become the ‘go-to’ person in our team for proofreading and editing written and online materials.

In 2022, I therefore decided to retrain as a proofreader and copyeditor to add to my marketing skills.  I am now a Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading and have completed their following training courses:

• Proofreading 2: Headway

• Copyediting 1: Introduction

• Getting to Grips with Grammar and Punctuation
